Lauren W. Box is an Associate Attorney with the Johnson Law Firm, P.A.  For the last ten years, Ms. Box has focused her practice on bankruptcy litigation.  Ms. Box started her practice assisting clients in Chapter 11 reorganizations.  For the last six years, Ms. Box’s practice has focused on representation of Chapter 7 Panel Trustees in contested matters. Ms. Box received her undergraduate degree from the University of Florida and her law degree from Florida Coastal School of Law.  During law school, Ms. Box served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Chief Bankruptcy Judge Emeritus Paul M. Glenn (Bankr. M.D. Fla.).  Ms. Box graduated Magna Cum Laude from her law school class and was awarded the Florida Coastal Law Review Staff Editor of the Year (2012-2013).  Ms. Box is admitted to practice before all Florida State Courts, the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Florida, and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.

Douglas W. Neway

Douglas Neway is the Chapter 13 Standing Trustee for the Jacksonville Division.  He has served as Chairman of the Jacksonville Bankruptcy Bar Association, Central Florida Bankruptcy Law Association, Orange County Bankruptcy Bar Association, Orlando Division’s Bankruptcy Judicial Liaison Committee and the Florida State Chairman of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys.  He is currently a member of the Florida Bar’s Bankruptcy/UCC Committee and Statewide Bankruptcy Judicial Liaison Committee.  Mr. Neway was an Adjunct Professor of Advanced Bankruptcy at FAMU Law School and is a frequent lecturer on consumer bankruptcy topics at seminars, colleges and law schools.

Richard Thames is a commercial lawyer, practicing since 1987. He received his Juris Doctorate, with honors, from Florida State University College of Law.  Upon graduation, Mr. Thames served as Law Clerk for the Honorable George L. Proctor, United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Middle District of Florida, in both the Orlando and Jacksonville Divisions.  Following a few years in private practice after his employment with Judge Proctor, Mr. Thames established his own practice specializing in commercial transactions, bankruptcy and litigation, eventually teaming with his current partner, Bradley Markey at Thames | Markey.  He is Board Certified as a Business Bankruptcy Specialist by the American Board of Certification.  Mr. Thames is a frequent lecturer on bankruptcy and commercial litigation topics.

Mike Waskiewicz is a partner with Burr & Forman LLP in its Jacksonville, FL office.  His practice areas focus on creditors’ rights and bankruptcy, complex commercial litigation, commercial workouts, and maritime law.  Mr. Waskiewicz also has a national consumer bankruptcy practice focused on the representation of creditors.  He is admitted to practice before all Florida Courts and the U.S. District and Bankruptcy Courts for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Florida. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Buffalo in New York and his law degree from Widener University School of Law in Wilmington, DE.
